What Home Means to Me
Home is a very sacred place to me. Where I feel safe and loved. It is where I cozy up and drink hot cocoa with my family and watch a movie late at night. Home is a place where I can share my troubles and feelings with my loved ones or share about my day at school. When it is a hot summer day I get to go to Winnipeg Beach with my family and get to play Volleyball with my dad and running around with my dog. I tan with my mom, and we talk about her work, extended family and her childhood. In Winter I go sledding with my family and build forts. After some time, we all get wet and go home to a nice warm cup of coffee and home-made cake. I helped my mom bake. I love the feeling of the sugary cream in my mouth, how it dissolves and gives the bittersweet taste. I love waking up to find out I am safe and warm with loved ones around me. Home is a special place to me and my family because we all know if we are struggling, we will get through it together.
