What Does Home Mean to Me
What does home mean to you? Well, today I’m going to tell you what it means to me! I live in a house and you likely do to! But that isn’t what home means, it shouldn’t mean a place to stay. That is why I’m going to tell you what it should mean. The meaning of home is where I feel safe, Where family is, and where I belong.
To start, when I’m at home I feel safest. The reason being wherever home is, is where people I trust most are. The people at home teach me from right and wrong. When I make a mistake they approach it calmly which is soothing, because it shows I’m safe. Where as homes that yell as if they are a volcano erupting, my family address it in a lecturing but calm manner. To finish, one meaning of home to me is feeling safest, because they give me the supplies to survive which is one reason why I’m protected at home.
Now, it’s hard to pick but if I had to pick another meaning of home it would be wherever family is. The reason family is important to me is because a home should feel like a photo album. Money may be rich but memories are much, much richer. The only real way to lose at life is if you’re alone, Meaning someone as far as family will always be by your side for you. Family will especially be there for you during your ups and downs, because family doesn’t abandon one another when “they aren’t needed”. To add up, another meaning of home to me is wherever family may be.
Last but not least, home is also where I belong. In a home you don’t get picked on like you’re a piece of peeling skin. Why? Because to make a home you have to be with the people you trust/love the most. The reason for this being, the people that we talk about are kind, caring, supportive, and thoughtful people. These are the people that care for you. These are the type of people who want to see you succeed in life. These are the type of people who “don’t judge a book by its cover” but to get to know what the story is about. Meaning they won’t judge you for your looks they will get to know you and your personality, and go based all off that. All together, Home is where I belong because the people I love most are there with just as much care.
To sum up, my reasons were where I feel safe, where family is, and where I belong. My main point for feeling safe was that the people who can make a home are the ones who can stay calm and ensure your safety. Anywhere that family is could make a great home, because of all the memories and friends. Lastly, where I belong. Even though, there are constructors out there that do a great job, not all can build a home. They can build a house but not all can build a home suitable for you! How? Well, the only real way to build a home is to make one with people whose hearts are made of gold. Now that I’ve finished telling you what home means to me, I’m going to leave you with one question. What does home mean to you?
