Home

You might think home is just a building, and to some people it is but to me it isn't. Home is a place where you feel safe and never scared because you have your family and friends. Home is when you're warm and cozy like a teddy bear is hugging you all the time. Home is different to everyone. Maybe your home smells like your moms perfume or your favourite dinner but to me home smells like burnt popcorn when I try to make it for my family's movie night. Burnt popcorn doesn't smell good but when I think of it, it does, because of the warm memories I have of making popcorn for my family. Your home might taste salty, sweet or maybe even spice, to me it feels sweet not because there is candy everywhere but because of the people around me who are always kind and helpful that makes it smell sweet. I miss my home when I'm too far away for too long,but I don't miss the place, I miss the people in it. I could go anywhere for so long and still feel safe if my family and friends are with me because they are my home. Home is safe but what makes home safe is the people in it and the memories you have with them. You might have a friend or family member who you don't have anymore and your home can remind you about them so you will never forget them because of the memories you have. Home isn't a building, it's a feeling!
