Home is where your story begins

Home is the place your story begins. It’s the place you can feel safe. So, come with me and dive into all the things that make me feel at home. When I come home from a long day at school, when I open the door, I smell my home. I take it in and feel safe. Then my dog comes running to me in joy that I am home. She is so excited when my family and I come home. I love it when that happens. As Callie, my dog jumps and leaps for joy! I laugh and smile. After long or short trips away from home. You come back home and walk into what is yours. A home, your home. I have a dog and I use to have a hamster. My dog Callie I soft and cuddly. When I have a hard day I can come to her and hug her and let out all my feelings and feel joy and have hope! If I feel sad or happy I like to go up to my dogs forehead and kiss it, when I do I smell home, comfort and something so wonderful. My hamster Nugget is the best hamster ever. He died this year and I miss him but he is still home to me. My bed is also home it is my pillow that smells like fresh hair and that is a smell that makes me feel at home and baking with my mom is also home to me. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for everything you are doing to give people a home. May God bless you and keep you and thank you for helping people in need you are awesome.
