Meaning of Home

I was sitting in the car on the way to my grandparents house for Christmas dinner. I was looking out the window at the gross light brown and white dirty snow. I was excited to see my grandparents, and to eat their Christmas dinner. When I got there, I gave them a giant hug. I watched my favourite show, ‘Stranger Things’ while I was waiting for dinner to be ready. I was feeling very safe and loved because my grandparents were right there with me. I was getting excited because I smelled the food. It smelled very good. It was taking a long time because we came early. I saw my mom looked a bit stressed when I opened my present. I got some new clothes and a thing I really wanted but my parents couldn't afford. I felt very excited and grateful. By the time dinner was ready, I was so excited I had mashed potatoes, carrots, turkey, and some juice for the drink. I did not really like the dinner except for the juice and a few more things. Then when I was done I had a few chocolates then I sat down and watched my favourite show a bit more. And then when it was time to leave I gave my grandparents a giant hug then my mom dropped me off at my dads house and then she went to her house. During the time with my family i was feeling very safe and loved like it was my own house. I felt just like it was my own house because I felt , loved, and like I could be my true self. You should appreciate your house and everyone deserves somewhere safe to call home.
