What Home Means To Me

Home is a place where love begins and never ends. It is the place where you roast marshmallows on an open fire. When I walk into my home, I see my dog wagging his tail as if he hadn’t seen me in years. I smell my mom cooking dinner. It is a place that makes me feel warm and at peace. Home is a place where my family cuddles up on the couch to watch a movie together. When I sit on my couch, my dog jumps up and cuddles me. I hear laughter in the living room. I see my mom helping my brother with homework. When I go to bed, I put my fingers between my knitted blanket that my grandma made me, so I get a sense of comfort. Home is a place where memories blossom. My mom wraps me up in a warm blanket that she just put in the dryer. It wraps around me like a bear is hugging me. It isn’t just a place; it is my home. My home.
