My Home Sweet Home

Did you know that your house may not always be your home? A home is a living place where I find happiness, an opportunity to be loved and feel belonged. It is a place where I find meaning to life and moments of relaxation. A home is a living place where I find everything I need to survive in life. Just as the roof and walls of a house protect from harsh winds and storms, after a long day at school, I return home to rest feeling safe and happy. My relationship with my family shelters me from loneliness and fear. I feel loved whenever l am with my family because they provide my physical needs and give me an opportunity to participate in family decision making. Yummy and healthy foods are made in the kitchen, and l feel cared for and relaxed when we eat together at the dining table. We watch movies in the living room, sleep on a soft bed in my bedroom,and take a warm bath in the bathroom. Finally, home is a living place that provides me with everything I need to survive in life. Clothes, safety, love, healthy food, happiness, comfort, relaxation, are truly my “home sweet home’’.
