House vs Home

A house is a shelter that protects you. A house is a building that has a roof and walls to keep wind and rain from coming in. A house is a place that keeps you warm in the winter. A house is your privacy, a space to keep nosey people away. A house’s purpose is to shelter you from many things. But a home is a comfortable and safe area. A home is a place to have warm meals with the people you love, no awkward silence, just lovely laughter and conversations. A home is where your secrets are safe and trusted with the people you love. A home is where you can lay out your overwhelming emotions whether it’s anger, sadness, excitement, and no one will judge you. A home is your happy place, where you don’t have to be ashamed about being yourself.
