My Home and My Memories

To me home is the place where you make memories with the ones you love. And I’ll be sharing mine with you. Christmas- When Christmas rolls around, actually when November rolls around, my grandma sets up our decorations. We have a lot of blowups and a ton of little Christmas trinkets in our living room. We also have an unreasonable amount of ornaments and it takes hours to put all of them up on the tree. On Christmas eve my grandma gets me and my brother Christmas pajamas and we take pictures in front of the tree. Halloween- Halloween is my second favourite time of the year, and my favourite holiday. It’s not my favourite because of the candy, though it is nice to get. I love Halloween because of the costumes and decorations. I’ve been either a witch or sorceress for the past four or five years. Every year we go to my Aunt’s house because not many houses on our street hand out candy. This year instead of going trick-or-treating I was the one handing out the candy. I loved seeing all the costumes people had. Easter- Every Easter we go to Appleland. At Appleland we ride the train which leads to an egg hunt activity. On Easter day me and my brother get Easter baskets full of candy and toys for outside. My Birthday- In my family once a kid turns ten they no longer get huge birthday parties full of friends, instead they get to invite one friend and get to hang out with that friend all day. For the past two years I’ve gone to the Mandarin with my friend and my family, since the Mandarin is my favourite restaurant. I also have a second actually party, but it’s just for family. There we have cake and I get tons of presents.
