Home to me

(home is a safe place to me, I can feel loved and care in a home) I can see a living room, bedrooms, washrooms, kitchen, basement, and a loving family. I can hear a dog barking, cat hissing, tv playing music or videos, and talking. I can still smell my childhood when I smell types of foods, but going to a place that I went to when I was younger makes me feel like a little kid again. Some types of smells make me cry a little since I miss the younger me. I also feel safe in my home and comfortable. The home I live in, I really feel safe there and even my room. I like to eat dinner with my family at the dining table because I can share some funny or sad stories, and anything else I feel comfortable talking about. I hear many things at home. It is kind of funny to hear my brother raging at a game he is playing! But I don't really tell him it's funny because he will get even more mad. I am so grateful that my family keeps me safe in a very safe, catholic home. I can taste my mom's wonderful cooking and my dad's cooking. Whenever my dad orders something I am always thankful. Canada is just not a country to me; it is a safe home that I was born and grown-up in. I am in a foster home and this family I’m in is really treating me nicely and always making me smile when I am sad. Home is a really warm place where you can stay away from the cold outside (when it’s winter). Home is just not a building, it’s a place where it has stable walls, a bedroom, washrooms, living room, basement, roof, etc. A home to me is walking back from school, feeling tired, and sleepy. A home to me is listening to music while playing games with my biological brother. A home means to me is going to places with my family or friends. A home to me to me is calling my friends. HOME CAN MEAN ANYTHING! Whenever I come home from school my brother scares me every time I walk through the door.
