Home
I used to think home was just a building you sleep, eat and drink in. But through these past classes I’ve learned what home means to me.
Home is the smell of my mom making delicious food in the kitchen, with the smell traveling through the house going straight to my nose, the delicious smell makes my mouth water. The first time I smelt that I felt a warm tingling feeling but now I realized that’s a smell I will always remember as home.
Home is also the sound of a football game on the TV while my dad shouts “GO! GO! YES!! WE WON!!!” Sounds just like home to me.
Home is seeing my fluffy dog on her bed waiting for me to come home every day after school. It doesn’t feel like home without her.
And don’t get me started on the big, gray, fluffy blanket. We all fight over because it’s the one blanket that feels like a big hug. That blanket feels like home to me.
But the biggest thing I think of when someone says home, I think of a four-person family in a small two-story side-by-side house on a tiny street which I will always call my home.
