What should home be like?

Home is something that holds more than words can handle. Everyone lives different lives. Some have happy lives and others have sad ones. But no matter what type of life you have, you should still feel loved. And that’s what home is. Home should be a place where you feel comforted and safe. The reason I say “should” is because there are unfortunately people out there where they don’t have a home, or a place they feel safe, and we should talk about those people more. Home is a place where you should be loved and cared for. Not scared and hurt. I once heard someone ask, “what does being cared for mean?”, and it’s sad how someone had to ask that. But the way I see it, being cared for is like someone taking care of a kitten. You should be fed and healthy. But like a cat, you also need to feel and be loved, safe, and comfortable. That’s what being cared for is, being safe and loved, even when you’re not hiding. Everyone deserves a home, not just a house, but a home. I hope everyone finds their home because everyone deserves one.
