Home Is A Safe Place
I can tell that I’m home when I smell spicy spaghetti, white rice and chicken-flavored noodles. The TV is on my sister’s favorite show or my brothers playing with our XBOX. My mom is probably telling us stuff or even scolding us because we didn’t do our chores, but we know she is trying to help us and not be mean. My favorite part of home isn’t just playing or the foods that we make. It’s also when we do movie nights. Every Friday, we get pizza and some other snacks and gather in the living room to watch a movie of our choice. We also go out to get hotdogs and sundaes sometimes. If home was a sight, it would be beautiful, filled with clothes and a bunch of electronics. It is a dream, all our favorite things combined into one place! Home is also a safe place because I am around my family members. The TV will be at a terrifically loud volume. Maybe we’re all watching, the fan on the stove because we’re always cooking new food, the washing machine causing vibrations downstairs and everyone’s shaking. That’s what I feel comfortable in. And I always know I’m never alone even if I’m in a room by myself, because I’m at my house either playing Roblox with my sister, playing soccer with my brothers or hanging out with my mom and dad.
