The Meaning of Home

Houses are made of wood or bricks and you can see them. Houses are a place you can stay in. Homes are something you feel. Homes are where you feel safe and loved. Homes have memories and traditions. You can have traditions like family gatherings and Christmas. Homes are where you have personal belongings. You can have pets like dogs and cats. My home is special because it has my special place- my room. My room has my bed and my books. I love Dogman and Bad Guys books. I love my bed because it is warm and comfy and soft. I feel safe in my room because I share my room with my brother. My favourite room in my home is the living room because my family gets together there. We watch shows together and play games together. We sometimes eat there like on football nights we have chili or steak or ribs. We don’t get together very often but when we do it’s in the living room. Everyone deserves a home so they can get together with their mom and dad and even cousins. If you don’t have a home you’d feel sad and hopeless. Everyone needs to be loved and a home is where you feel loved the most.
