...Home…

To me, the meaning of home is a lot of things, but some of them include home cooking, comfort, and most importantly family. Every year, for new years parties and for celebrations, my mom and dad make lots of food to fill our bellies, make traditions and laughter that spreads throughout the room. We do pot lucks, baking contests, and when we do glorious smells fill the house creating a ball of smells that dance through the air like feathers on a breeze. These traditions fill me with happiness, joy and comfort. My house, sometimes feels as if it were a pillow. It has real pillows, sure. But it also has blankets, beds, couches ,sheets, and cushions. At my house, comfort is key to almost everything in it. Its like an invisible force willing me to go to bed, or get into pajamas, or even just take a stroll through the neighborhood. It wills me to rest up, or cool down, but it always tells me to be my best self, through thick and thin. Most of my comforts are in animate objects, like pillows or beds. But one of them is animate. Family. Personally, family is the literal meaning of home, I mean, without your grandmas and grandpas, your parents wouldn't be alive, and without your parents,YOU wouldn't be here to day, helping and giving homes to families that need one.Your parents raised you, gave you lots of hugs and kisses, put bandages on your cuts scrapes and bruises. Parents and family are there for you through thick and thin, sickness and health, living or dead they are there. So, all of these things are what makes my home home. But what makes your home home ? Love? Laughter? Brothers or sisters? Books? I’m quite curious!
