The Meaning of Home

Darci McLean: Grade 3 (Grade 3/4 Multi-Grade Class) Meaning Of Home What home means to me, home means spending time with loved ones and family. When I am home I feel loved by my supportive family. School is also home for me because that's where my friends and teachers are. Home makes me feel happy, calm and loved. My family makes me feel warm and safe. Home is a place where I feel loved. Home is where we live. My neighbor Shirley White makes me feel loved. Home is where we have peace. When I get home from school I give my dad a big hug. After that I say hello to my two sweet cats, my dog and my fish. In the morning I feed my fish before I go to school. When I am home in my bed I feel safe. When I get home my dog barks at me and it feels like sweet sweet home. My cats' names are Dakota and Emerald. My cute dog's name is Izzy and my fishes name is Pebble. My mom works at my school. Even though I lived in Ontario but still whenever I am with my family it is home. Home is where we spend time with each other and where we get together. As a family we eat supper together every night. On Friday nights I watch movies with my family. I love my family and friends so much. I also love my home and school so so so much. I love my home because when I am home with my family I am happy and safe. I never feel judged when I am home with my wonderful sweet family. I feel wanted and I can be myself at home and at school. I go down to my nans house for some yummy yummy food and a sleepover. I love going swimming with my family and friends at the beach. I also go swimming at the YMCA. Mr. Whelan is the best teacher that is why I am trying to win money for my community.
