A House is Not a Home

A house and a home might look the same from the outside, but it is not the same on the inside. It will never be. A house is a building. A house is something that people make but a home is a place that makes you happy. A place you can go home to a nice home cooked meal without worries of not eating that night. A home is a safe place to sleep, have friends over and to keep you warm. A home is playing cars in the living room with your brother. Or playing dolls with your sister or even playing catch with your dog. A home is baking with your mom or playing hockey with your dad. A home is where you can share your emotions, create memories and have lots of fun. A home is where you can feel secure. Home is something you have to be grateful for because not everyone is lucky enough to have one so I'm very happy and grateful for my home But a house is not something you want to call a home if you live in a house, make it a home, play with your brother and sister, throw a ball with your dog, and spend some time with your family.
