Home is Where the Heart Is

To me home is where the heart is. Where laughter, love, fun, trust and funny moments become memories. When you're having a bad day your mom will always have your back. Every sick day is more time you get to spend with your pets. When you need your pets, they are always there. They will always have time to cuddle even though no one knows what they do all day when you're at school. Home is not four walls, a roof and a floor. It’s the people you're with, the people you call family. Every Christmas me and my family watch Home Alone and eat popcorn. That's what you call memories. Every single morning I wake up to breakfast on the table as my dog comes to greet me and my mom says, “Good morning baby” and gives me a hug and a kiss. We always have someone at the house because my dad’s a mechanic. There's three things that keep me calm: building legos and drawing and talking to my besties for hours. Snow days are the best! I get to play games with my family. My family is really special because they love me better than any one else will and that's what matters.
