My Meaning of Home

My meaning of my home may not be the meaning as yours, or it could be. Home isn’t a block in the middle of a street, it could be to someone else's eyes, but to you, it’s more than just that. It’s where memories are made and dreams created. The meaning of home is different to your friend, your enemy or a stranger. To me it's a slice of my heart kept safe by the warm shield of my family. The dining room is where we eat every single day together, it's where my dad tries to make cookies, and my mom fails on soup, it's where my brother makes undercooked pancakes and where I make burnt bacon. But still that doesn’t change its charm. To you, your kitchen could be a cramped yet cozy counter where sandwiches are made or a large, elegant structure for a great chef. My living room is where we all spend time, it's where my brother makes space suits out of cardboard. On the outside too a person i don’t know and doesn’t know me it could just be a random blue house next to all the others but to me… it’s my happy place, to me it is the definition of emotion, of love, of hope, of joy, of sadness, anger and grief but my home is what lets me get through it all, my home is the one thing i hold dear. That is my meaning of home.
