Home Is Like Magic

As if it is magic as soon as I step through the door of my home, I get a warm feeling inside that reminds me of all the great experiences my family and I have had together. It is these memories that brings my family together. Memories like playing with my dog or playing with my brother. They all have that magic feeling. Even memories like my mom or dad supervising me while I make scrambled eggs and toast feel magical. So this is a piece of home to me. No matter how many times we move that magical feeling will always stay with us. Home is more the family than the building itself. It does not matter how many times we move. As long as we are together, we are always home. I love the sounds at home. My dad’s laugh coming from downstairs makes me feel safe when I am scared at night in my bed. Another sound I like is my dog’s loud panting. The conversations at the dinner table make me feel warm and happy. These sounds bring magic to the house in a unique way. This is a piece of home to me. When you put these pieces together it gives you the Meaning of Home. So, the meaning of home to me is family, memories and belonging. That is the meaning of home to me.
