This is what home feels like

Every day at school, there is only one thing I can look forward to: home. When I get on that bus, I will only be focused on my destination. When I see my yard, I don’t just see it. I feel it. The cozy feeling gives me a huge confidence boost, even in my lowest times. That’s when I walk onto the driveway, then my mood gets uplifted, like I just heard the greatest news of my entire life. The best relief has to be walking into my home, as I feel like nothing can go wrong, or I am fully protected. Whether it is a stormy day with no light, or a beautiful day with no worries at all. It will feel the same either way. My family welcomes me, giving an immediate warm and fuzzy feeling throughout my body. With my family, I get to laugh, talk, and hang out with them. Which has to be one of, if not the greatest, feeling of all. When my mother starts cooking, it won’t be long before I know it. The savoury aroma of tortillas fills the air, giving a big hint that some type of tacos are on the menu. But, as you know, the best food is food that is consumed. Plus, the homemade taste of beef, mixed with tortilla, cheese, and everything else gives that “I am not hungry, but this food is too tasty to resist!” feeling. When it is time to go to bed, I will know I am safe, comfortable, and tired. Why? Well, I just felt the renowned true meaning of home. Then, when I wake up, I get the best honour of feeling it all over again.
