The Meaning of Home

My name is Keaton. I think I am special because I have two homes. My auntie and uncle’s, and my grandma and grandpa’s. I think Auntie and uncle's home is my home because when I come home from school I have heat to warm me up. I have a jacket, hat, gloves, food on the table for me, a bed and shelter. We cry, we will get mad, when we get confused, we get scared and don't worry it's okay to cry. We say sorry. We give second chances because we're not perfect. I forgot to mention this, and it's really hard to say, but I don't live with my parents because my mom and dad do drugs and that is why it was tough to say. Anyways, I think my favorite family member is Nanny Julie. We joke together when I tell her I came out of my mom, opened my eyes, saw my nanny and said “that's my nanny”. I make her laugh so hard when I say that. I know I'm her favorite. I've lived with my Auntie and Uncle for almost 3 years so I think it's my home.
