Meaning of Home

When you think of home, do you think of a place or a feeling? Home to me feels like my mom reading to me before bed, my favourite furry blanket and pillow to lay down my head, where the sounds of my family's voices are heard as I fall asleep. Home feels like comfort, like the hug from my Mom when I am feeling down, or a joke from my Dad to make me laugh. It smells like peanut butter cookies baking in the oven and scented candles. A place where I can be myself and be understood, where I can talk with my family, but where I have my own space to think. My room is where I relax, think, cuddle my pets, play video games and just be me. Home is where we spend holidays, decorate our tree, hang the mistletoe and create memories that will be with us forever. Home is family and home is love.
