What is Home?

Here’s something that I think most people misinterpret about home: they think it has to be a house. But if you find a house with no love in it, you can’t call it home. A shack in the woods could be more homey than a brand new house, if that shack had a bunch of happy memories all around it. Home can be many different things. Even a homeless person could have a home. What if there was a rich person who lived alone vs a really poor person that lived with a bunch of people in a small cozy house? The rich person's home is just a house, and the poor person's house is a home because the poor person loves his family, and it is safe, warm, and cozy. The rich person doesn’t have any of those things, because it’s not something you can buy with money. A home should be a safe haven. If a house is not safe, it can’t really be a home. A house could be new, perfect, huge, but a home is whatever you feel comfortable with. Many rich people have houses, but grateful people have homes. A home should be a safe haven. If a house is not safe, it can’t really be a home. A house could be new, perfect, huge, but a home is whatever you feel comfortable with. Many rich people have houses, but grateful people have homes.
