What My Home Means To Me

My home is an awesome home! It's a place that I know I will always be safe forever. When I get home from school I walk through my kitchen with the incredible smell of my grandma's fresh cookies and cinnamon rolls. I walk on my creaky stairs and up to my room, to get my favourite blanket from my bestfriend, my blanket smells of cozy warm spices. I go back down my very creaky stairs down to my living room. I grab my Percy Jackson book and read, I always feel safe in my home with my book alone. I walk to my kitchen to grab my grandma’s freshly baked cookie. My mom, brother, sister and dad come home. My little brother runs up to me with an inviting bear hug. My sister comes home and asks me about my day while she flips on her gymnastics bar over and over again. My mom makes supper, on Wednesdays she makes my favourite, chicken alfredo and garlic bread. When I eat the delicious food she makes I feel safe, I never feel more safe than when I’m at home with my loving family. After the wonderful dinner I go upstairs and take a long warm shower. It makes me feel safe. I go downstairs on my creaky stairs and eat a cinnamon roll, I feel the warmness in my stomach when I eat them. I grab my book and I walk up my stairs. I jump up into my bed with my cozy and comfy blanket and say prayers with my mom. I hear my dad going on his skidoo and I drift off to sleep staring at the beautiful picture of my favourite horse, I always fall asleep feeling warm and safe every night.
