A Place Of My Own
My house is a building, even though it’s the place I grew up in, it can change any time, but my home on the other hand is anywhere I feel comfortable, safe and happy. With this logic I have at least a thousand homes, here's how I know I'm at home. I know I'm at home when I smell the scent of burnt tea my dad put on the stove about an hour ago. I know I’m at home when I come back from school and sit on our uneven couch. I know I’m at home when I’m at my happiest. I know I’m at home when I taste the extra spicy ramen me and my mom team up to make ( we can’t handle the spice).I know I am at home when I smell something ten times worse than Thioacetone (the smelliest thing in the world) coming out of the washroom. I know I am at home when I feel like I’m on a trampoline because I know that when I am at home I feel that it will always bounce me right back up when I fall down, and when I’m jumping/feeling my best it send even higher. This is my checklist whenever anyone of these criteria’s are fulfilled I know I am at home.
I hope I was able to make a change and help people get affordable housing!
