How Much My Home Means To Me

When someone says “where is your house" I think of my house as in the building, but when someone says “where is your home” I think of the people, sounds, smells and what I feel. I think of my home as a place I go to a lot and I think of a place I feel my best, I think of a place where I can get my energy back after a long day. I think of my home as the smell of brownies and cinnamon rolls floating through the doors, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore down the rock pathway. I think of the taste of my dad’s butter chicken filling my mouth when I think of supper time. I see Port Hood Island sitting on the water and it reminds me of home. I feel the ground sinking like sand under my feet and it reminds me of home, I smell the salty breeze and it reminds me of home. I see a house and I think of where my home is, with all the people, sounds, smells, sights and tastes that my home has.
