What Home Means to Me

Home is a strong word filled with memories to last a lifetime. To me home is hearing the doors squeal as they open; My family gathered around the TV watching our favourite shows. I can feel the pages flip through my fingers as I sit in a quiet room alone in my thoughts. I can feel both my mother and fathers warm, caring hugs and my sister's sarcasm is heard in my head. In the Summer home is my paradise, as I play outside swimming and playing basketball against my dad. The sun blinds me as I shoot a basketball into our net in the front yard. Nothing could compare to home, my dads old 80's music playing in the car. My dogs barking at god knows what. Watching my puppy's run through our yard digging up holes knowing they shouldn't. I feel safe even if I'm scared- trembling -I have the power of my home for comfort. Houses can change, families can become different then before, but right now and forever home is my family and the love we have.
