The Amazing Thing Called Home
The amazing thing called home!!!!
Home can be big or small. Your home can be tall or short. A home
could hold a million people, or just a few. The truth is, a house is just
a building. A house can be fancy and beautiful, but a home is where
your family is.
When I come home after a hard day, there are people there who care
about me and help me. If I walked into just a house after school, it
might have nice walls and a comfortable couch—but without love and
family, it wouldn’t feel like home. A home is where I can talk about
my feelings. A house is where I might hide them. A home is where I
feel comfortable and safe. A house can sometimes feel empty or
strange.
Some kids don’t have a home. I do, and that’s why I believe every
child deserves one. All kids should be able to come home and feel
comfortable, not weird or alone. Adults deserve that too. No one
should have to live on the streets, unsure of what to do next.
I come home and watch TV without worrying about where I will
sleep. Some families are simply grateful to have a safe place to rest.
Not everyone has the same money or opportunities. That’s why we
need to step up and help.Habitat for Humanity is doing the right
thing by building homes for families in need. They’re not just giving
people fancy houses—they’re helping create safe, loving homes where
families can grow and always belong.
