Home is a Feeling

My home is the place that makes me feel safe and comfortable. When I am at home I feel respected and I feel like I can be honest to myself and my family. Home is a place where I feel protected from the outside world and safe from all my worries and fears. Whenever I am feeling depressed I can hug my dog, talk to my mum and dad or even just be comforted by the soft blankets of my cozy bed. Whenever I come home after school I immediately get a breeze of delicious air from my supper cooking in the pot. Whenever I have movie nights with my family I hear the popcorn popping and crackling in the microwave and I know I can start the movie when I hear the microwave ding. When it's too late and I should be asleep I stay quiet so my parents don’t realize. When there is a huge storm outside I don’t even realize until I look out the window and I feel so safe. I always feel like I can be totally myself at home because I know everyone in my family won’t ever judge me. Home is where I am happiest and feel most secure. This is why I love my home.
