A Place I Call Home

What is the meaning of home? To me, home is not just a building, it's much more than that. Home is a place where all the best things are like family. Home is where me and my family laugh, play, and talk. It's a place I go to escape reality when it's a little too much. Home is where I go when I need someone to talk to or when I feel down. In the living room, me and my family have a chance to connect and grow. It's where we make memories and play games together, even though I might not win, it's still a moment I will always remember. In the kitchen me and my mom cook and bake the day away. It's where the smell of the best things come from. Eating isn't even the best part, it's when we talk about our days. The backyard is where me and my sister play. We run around, have fun, and just take in the beautiful world around us. It's the place where we play all kinds of sports and games. Home is a place where I feel safe; it's where I feel most like myself. Home is where I'm surrounded by the people who love me most. Home is where I feel like I can do anything in the world, kind of like a knight in shining armor. Home isn't just a roof over your head. It's the people who care for you and love you. It’s where my family is. A home isn't a home without the people who make it.
