Heart Is Where the Home Is
My home is very special to me. It holds lots of great memories with me and my family. When I walk into my room I feel relief and comfort, like a nice cold hug. I prefer cold hugs and cold showers. My room is where I do most things. I play in my room and I watch shows in my room. My LED lights put me to sleep on dark nights, as I fall asleep to the sound of my mini fridge buzzing.
In my dining room you’ll here the chatter of my grandma and grandpa as they get their second serving of dessert. Memories are made there. My sister’s 3rd birthday, my first birthday, Christmas time, and Thanksgiving. All of the best memories are made right there at that same table.
The kitchen is where you will find the fridge piled high with food. I can just imagine the sweet smell of my moms baking coming from the oven. It’s all fun in the kitchen. My sister’s “dance parties”, the actual parties, and the late night snacks. It all happens in that same cozy area of peace and comfort.
The living room is a place of “YES!” and “EVEN I COULD SAVE THAT!” It’s where the fun times are. Eating on the couch when there's no room at the table, the laughing of good stories being told, feet up and relaxing. All good times, nothing bad. The couch brings you in when you’re sick and comforts you with its soft, fluffy touch.
The sunroom is a nice place to take a break from running on the streets all day. Hanging out with friends are the best of times. It’s always comforting when you sit down and take a rest, especially on hot summer days when the sun is beating down and you can grab a popsicle.
My home is MY home. It is unique and crazy. I love it just the way it is.
