Beyond 4 Walls

Home is not only your house, you might move some day, your house is maybe part of your home but when you move you don't lose your home, the feeling always stays. I feel happy and loved at home cuz it’s somewhere where I can be myself without being judged. Home is also a place where you can be with your loved ones, the ones who you care about, no matter how bad you feel, or how bad your day is going, your family and friends are always there to support you, you can find home in you loved ones too. I used to live in another country, Ecuador, I was used to live with my entire family, in a big house; when I moved to Canada my life changed, now I live in an apartment with my mom and sister, my dad is also in Canada but he doesn’t live with me anymore, my parents are divorced, but I’m still happy , we might not have everything, but love and being together is all I need to be happy, and that what I can call home, my life isn’t easy and I know is the same for most of us, but, we have to keep moving forward and trying to be happy. However, I have learned that as long as I’m with the people that I love, I’m already home. Home is not a place that you find, it’s a place you build with your heart every day. Also, when I came to Canada from Ecuador, I learned that my home travels with me, no matter what, all the memories are always there to remember, and make new ones every day. I’m thankful I have a home and I wish everyone did, Thank you Habitat for Humanity.
