My Meaning of Home
I wake up from my slumber at 3:40am, so we can start fasting. After I brush my teeth to keep them clean, eat my boiled egg and rice, I go back to my slumber once again. When it's morning I will have to wake up and brush my teeth again, then get ready and head to school to get more knowledge.
At 2:50 I head back home (tired) to rest again, after sleeping I go play then go pray for a bit and help my mom with cooking. When the food is ready we will watch tv or play on roblox. Once Iftar starts, we all do our prayers then we start breaking our fasting by eating the delicious dinner our mom made.
During the dinner our parents or sometimes relatives talk to each other. Hearing the voices of the people we love makes me and my brother feel happy, calm and comfortable. This moment makes me feel like I'm at home. I feel grateful to have the people I care for, beside me, and talking. When I go to my uncle’s house, I play with my cousin and talk with him.
Home means feeling calm, staying safe, being happy, being in your blanket watching tv with your parents and more! You can feel like your home anymore during a special moment. Being with my parents feels I’m like home for me.
