This is My Home

My home isn’t a place. My home isn’t just four walls and a roof over my head. My home… is a FEELING, and it’s the PEOPLE i’m with. Like the feeling of love coming from my family and friends. My home, is when my mom carefully braids my hair with her soft fingers before bed. It’s when my parents give me a warm hug and a soft kiss, wishing me a good night and sweet dreams. It’s when my mom cooks, and the delicious smell enters my nose as my mouth starts to water. Home is where I can be myself, like dancing around or singing my lungs out. Home isn’t perfect, but that's what makes it so special. That’s what makes me feel at home. This is my home, I love it, and I know that everybody deserves a place to call “HOME”. I hope I can win this for all the people here in need of a home, and if I don’t, I hope it helps the winner’s community a lot. That way they can also feel happy, safe, and LOVED. ❤️
