Meaning of Home

Home in my definition is the place where I feel safe, rested and respected. The warmth and love I receive is what turns a house into a home. Whenever I come home from school I can always smell the aroma of the food that my mom makes. Another thing that makes me feel at home is when my mom or my dad ask me “ how was your day today?”, that makes me feel included. Another thing that makes me feel at home is the warm, healthy and nutritious food I get. I also get all my needs taken care of, I have clothes to wear a roof over my head and groceries to stay fed. I have guidance for life. I have a dog that greets me at the door when I come home called Sweetpea. I feel at home when my parents and I watch movies on a Friday night or going out to eat to celebrate my birthday. Home is the place I feel safe, home can mean different things to different people but to me home is a place I can feel relaxed when I am tired or comfortable when I am scared or afraid.
