What Home Means To Me
Home is a place where I feel safe.
I can get a blanket, sit by the fireplace and sip hot cocoa. Home is cozy and warm, and I have a roof over my head.
In my home, I smell my Mom’s cinnamon buns and homemade pizza.
Home is where you can laugh and play games like Slapzies or Azul. Home is a place where community is.
There are a million photos of my family above our couch. My favourite picture of me is when I’m very little, and I am wearing a backwards cap and have my hands on my hips.
When I’m home, I listen to my family and football, because my brothers and parents watch a lot of football.
We have lots of plants at my house. My mom and I take care of them by watering them or putting new soil in the pots.
A house is a building, but a home is where family is. A home can even be a shack if you have family and love.
