What Home Means to Me

Home means more to me than just a house with walls and rooms. It is a feeling that wraps around me and makes me feel safe and loved. It is the place where I feel the happiest. At home I can be myself without worrying about fitting in. I can cry, laugh loudly, be silly and nobody judges me. As an only child, home is where I never feel lonely, because it’s filled with the people and moments that matter the most to me. Home is where my family is and they are my biggest comfort. Their voices and hugs make every day better. I love spending time with my family, whether we are talking at supper, watching tv,or laughing at silly jokes. I have a dog and she makes home better because she's always excited to see me and curls up beside me when I sleep. She is a big part of our family and I love her. My relatives are also a huge part of what makes home so special. When they visit or when we spend time together, the house feels happy. I am a home body and I love it that way. Home is where my heart feels full. It's my favorite place in the world.
