Home

My home isn’t just a building; It’s a storybook telling the stories my family and I have made that I will forever cherish. Home is where I come to share how my day was at school. Supper is one of my favorites. Not only because of the food, but mainly because of the jokes my dad tells, and the stories my grandma shares from her time. Home is where I smell that savoury aroma dancing through the air, coating my house with the smell of traditional meals in the morning. It’s a place where I can be true to myself, where I don’t have to put a mask on and fake my emotions. My home is like a shield protecting me from the world. Home is my comfort zone. Home is where I have movie and game nights on fridays, and witness my family truly being themselves smiling, laughing and living their best lives! My dogs comfort me with their slobbery and moist kisses. It’s like magic because even though I hate it, it heals me when I'm down. My parents love is the only warmth that shields me from the cold stormy nights. Home is where I learn from right and wrong through the most unique ways ever. Home is where at night I pray to God in heaven at night, or before I eat My home might be strange and perplexing, but it's perfect for me. My mom is like my hero, my dad is my own personal comedian, my siblings are like little flies that bug me, but they are also kind of like my therapists, I tell them my concerns and they listen, and they give advice to me. My home is complete. I am so grateful for having a home and pray for those without a home, that they find their house to call a home.
