What Home Means To Me
To me, home smells like the delicious home cooked dinner my mom
makes my family every night. She always makes it with such delight.
The scrumptious smell always fills the house till the next day that
dinner rolls around.
To me, home feels like the warm and comfortable hug I get every night
before I go to bed. I love you so much, I said. A special routine I have
that I do every night that I cannot give up.
To me, when I think of home, I think of my whole family sitting around
our table, laughing and playing a fun game together.
Home is where I care, home is where me and my brother split the
dishes fair. Home is where me and my friends go and make yummy
snacks. Home is where I eat way too many candy packs.
Home is not where I go to learn to do math and english. It is not
where I go to play sports like soccer and volleyball. Home is where I
go to feel loved, where I feel happy, and where I quench my hunger.
Home is where I can laugh, eat delicious food, and be with the people I love most.
I'm incredibly grateful for my home and everything I have, and I hope
that one day everyone can have a home. I don't know what I would do
if I didn't have one. And I feel for everybody who doesn't.
Home is where I can be me and everything in between.
