The Word 'Home'

“Home”, a small word with immense and innumerable meanings It’s never ideally defined, as it’s different for all beings A home for a bird would be a nest in a tree and a home for a fish would be the big blue sea One might describe it as a roof over their head Another might say it’s the memories something embed I asked my mom, plus one thing she mentioned: “It’s a safe place to make mistakes, and a place to be corrected” A cliché idea of home, is joyful and full of gladness Although that's what many think, there could also be sadness Sometimes home is where people just want to be So at the end of the day, they can let go and cry an ocean deep. When you open your eyes You can finally realize That you’re so very lucky To have a home so lovely. Many don’t know what their home is yet But all find theirs someday, so don’t you fret Warmth as well as peace is what all should find one day Yet for now some will be lost, like sheep who’ve gone astray Be glad you have a roof over your head So snow and rain don’t get all over your bed Be happy you have people who love you For they’re who you can always be true to Thus, the clock keeps ticking, and the time’s always slipping these moments shared together begin to start thinning So always remember to be thankful for your home before it’s too late, and the time’s already flown.
