What Home Means to Me

To me home is not just a place to sleep or play, home is a place to be safe, is a place to be loved and be yourself. Home is a place where you can shake off the bad days at school and it is a place where you will miss if you leave it, because it is so cozy and all the smells in the kitchen that my mom cooks. When I'm watching a soccer game and if they lose I may be mad but just for a bit. A bit of laughter can make me feel better because my family is always there to cheer me up. If me and my sisters are fighting we tell each other that we don’t love each other but really we love each other all the time. When I come back from soccer and we lose that game my mom’s food helps me to feel like I won the game. On a Saturday night we will all sit together and watch some tv. When we come home it always feels so good to be home but some people do not have a place to call home. Because they have no safe place. They do not have a place to go to and relax. They do not have a place to feel loved. And that is what home means to me. Is that what home means to you?
