My Home

When I was born, I had almost been named Elizabeth, but my dad wanted a name similar to his, so they named me Cortney. My hair was an orangish reddish color, and then it turned brown at the age of two. When I was little, I had a habit of biting things and picking at things. One time at my old house, I chased my sister around while she was on her bike. I tripped over a rock, and when I fell, I split my knees open and one of my elbows. My legs were gushing blood, and I had to stay inside for a few days. I couldn't go out and play. I live across from Bowring Park, so almost every summer I would go swimming and to the park. Home is somewhere safe and protected. Home is somewhere where you have nightmares. Home is somewhere where you watch movies and play games. When I first went to kindergarten, I wouldn't leave my parents’ side, so I made them sit at the table with me. I hated it when I went to kindergarten, and my class always used glue and scissors. It was soooooo tiring. I loved my stuffies so much that I used to feel bad, so I always slept with them. I couldn't sleep with all of them because I had too many of them. So most of them ended up in bags in my basement. My sister is also a huge tease, but I love her, and I know she loves me. We play games together, and we don't fight as much anymore, but she still sometimes finds a way to tease me, and I find a way to tease her. So my home is somewhere where I can tease my family. Home is somewhere I make cookies with my mom and cook potatoes and food with my dad. Home is also somewhere where I watch movies and force my sister to play with me. My home isn't the best, but it's a stable and safe home.
