I Wish Everyone had a Home
When I get home from school I see my two dogs and I realize not everybody has a dog. They always want lots of petting and I love them so much. Afterwards I go to the kitchen where I can smell my mom and dad’s famous cookies. Then I go get a snack and my dog tries to eat it. He always wants food. After I have a snack I see my dad sitting on the couch listening to music. He always listens to music. He knows all the songs. After I go outside to see my friends. We play for like four hours then I go home.
When I get home I go upstairs to take a shower. After I go downstairs to watch a movie, I hug my parents and say goodnight. I go upstairs to see my hamster but he’s usually asleep so I don't see him often except for when I clean his cage.
After I go to bed but I lie awake thinking of what it would be like to not have a home. It makes me feel sad that there are some people where I live that don’t have a home. Then I imagine a place where everyone has a home where everyone is happy, where everyone has enough money for food and water, where everyone has a loving family. I think of when I was really little, like one or two, and I realize I have lived here my whole life. Some people never got to have a home at all in their life. I wish everyone could have a home. I am thankful I have home; it makes me feel safe.
