Home

Home is the lucky feeling of waking up to a loving and supportive family, in the perfect place for us. When I look around the hallways, I don’t just see walls, I see many pictures hanging reflecting all the memories of when I was younger. I use the empty space to visualize that I have so much more life to live, and many more memories to make. When I walk into the kitchen, I feel thankful that I am able to have a fully- stocked fridge and 3 meals a day. I am able to see my favorite meals being prepared, for a lovely dinner with my mom, dad, and my amazing sister. I taste the flavours of all the innovative new creations I will make. I move to the living room to see the liveliness and excitement. Like hearing the laughter while my family and I watch movies and play thrilling games. When I slowly and sleepily enter my room, I feel a barrier has gone up, stopping any outside negativity, while just allowing rest and peace. I lie down in the comfort of my bed while reading my favorite books, and winding down for the day. No home will ever be perfect, it will always have some bumps along the way, but you will always come back to the place you call home.
