Humanity Is My Home

Humanity Is My Home I never understood the meaning of home until I realized it was right in front of me, describing home is like a blanket wrapped around the love and empathy of those who surround you and care about your well-being. I thought at first that the word “Home” meant a building where you stay every single day. But I was wrong. It's not the structure, nor how big it is; it's about the people in it whose compassion and love make you call it home. Humanity is my home because of what it really represents in my heart. Charity, Kindness, and the dignity that we all have when we're living in this place of comfort. A home does not need to be a building to remind everyone. It can be anything, like your faith, your family, or those who protect you. It's a haven you can hide from someone you fear, or perhaps to get away from everyone, to feel welcome in your own habitat where no one can interfere with you, but only your loved ones. It distinguishes the feeling of being safe with someone who deeply cares about your safety and health. In my experience of being at home, I always felt loved within my household, surrounded by my parents and siblings as they protected me and sat me down when I did something wrong. Yes, of course, my parents would get furious or disappointed at me. But at the end of the day, when the sun goes down, I will still be loved either way. Humanity is my home, where I feel loved and cherished; I have seen it and felt it through my family. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, and Sponsors, for making it possible for families to have a safe environment they can call home.
