HOME IS WHERE THE HEART BELONGS

Home is where the heart returns, Where I started my first heartbeat and first steps Everything that shaped me—every voice, every memory— Still lives in that small place where my story began Family and friends stood at the gates of yesterday Waving me forward as I stepped into the noise of the big city And so, like a child of many roads, My heart has learned the art of belonging— Not to one place, But to every place that has ever held me Home is a safe haven of pure love— Where emotions flow like a river And joy overwhelm the summer blues Home is my spiritual fortress Where in my heart I carve the fruits of the spirit And the armor of God Home is where I can be perfectly imperfect! And still be loved by the creator. IT REMAINS MY BEST PLACE TO GO. Home is where I wake up, to mom’s finger-licking cooking Where the warm aroma of breakfast, wrestles my nostrils I rush to the table, like a split-second race Then prepare for a long game of chess At night we enjoy the thrill of family games Laughter lingers like soft echoes I carry everywhere Home is a shield that protects me from danger From the youthful spring to the cold winters Home is a quiet stronghold, where love stands guard. When the world seems unfair, home is where I find inspiration A place where my thoughts balance my reality Home is where I encourage my heart to whisper my thoughts, A special place to IMAGINE! Home is where I keep my treasures - pieces of the world A scrap-book of stories and a hand of gold I enjoy learning new cultures and traditions and such But every city I go, I always come back home Why? HOME is where I am absolutely FREE.
