My meaning of home
My home is where I've lived my whole life.
It's like a friend that's never left my side.
It's been there when I've laughed, cried, and smiled. I’ve spent my greatest moments in my home.
It means so much to me it could make me cry.
Just thinking about how once I was a baby running around in a diaper while giggling.
Fast forward to today, I'm eleven and in my pre teens. I spend most of my time in my room either dancing around to my favourite music. sitting in my bed watching a movie or reading a book.
All of these things make me overjoyed with happiness.
My mom and I were downstairs cuddling on the couch, we started watching friends, when we were watching, I thought to myself how grateful I am for being raised in this house.
Beside my mom, my best friend that I've been with since birth, I thought about my dad and how he picks me up from school and tells me a cheesy dad joke and makes me laugh the whole way home.
This house is full of joy and love and kindness. There's been hate and judgment but we've always apologized and felt guilty after.
There's a special feeling when you realize your home after a long day.
You feel delighted to sit back on the couch and talk about what happened at school to your parents or siblings.
They understand and give you advice.
They really meant it when they said home is where there's family
and a house is where there's people.
This means a lot to me because the only reason that I have a home is because of my amazing family that supports me through the roughest times and the most amazing experiences.
