The Meaning of Home

To me home is somewhere that I feel safe, somewhere that you can show your true emotions. But to me home is not just a house, home is your family or a safe place that you live. Home is not a little thing in your life, home is a big thing in it. Home makes you feel happy and protected. Even noises can help you feel safe like pets or your parents, birds or even friends. Sometimes the smell of your home helps you feel safe too. Even if you move homes you can still feel safe and comfortable. Home can help with emotions like anger or stress like screaming into a pillow or scrunching paper. Home can even help you sleep in a comfy and cozy warm and soft bed but not everyone has a soft warm comfy and cozy bed. Some people do not have homes but everyone should have a home, that is what I think. That is why Habitat for Humanity was formed. Everyone should feel safe and secure in their home. When I get back from something I am doing, I am happy to be safe and sound at home. I am lucky to have a safe and good home. Some people have small homes like in an apartment or big homes like a mansion. Big or small, short or tall they are all homes.
