What does home mean to you?
To me, home is a place where you feel safe and comfortable. It is where all your worries die down, and your mind is at peace. It is the feeling of you waking up on a Sunday morning, having slept in and walking down to the aroma of scrumptious food prepared by your parents, filling your nose, that's what home feels like to me. When my brothers and I get home after a long day at school and open the front door to find my dog running and jumping around us to greet us, that is what I call home. Home is the time my family and I play games together, laughing and playing together. It's somewhere you can relax and indulge in your favourite things, like watching movies and television shows. The place you spend your time, either laughing and having fun with your friends and family, or alone, reading your beloved novels and watching videos. A home is where you feel like you fit in and feel loved. Somewhere, even if there are arguments and conflict everyone forgives one another. It is a space where you can calmly express creativity and let it run free without any harmful criticism. Home is a place where you are with the people you love and adore. The people that you would always put first, and you would enjoy spending your time with. Home is that familiar scent, only you know, the warm homey smell you’ve grown familiar with. Ultimately, home is the place where you are encouraged and supported to do the things that you’ve always wanted to try. The place where you can show your true self and your feelings. Home can be anywhere as long as you are with the people you love.
